About Our Initiative
Join our Pledge To Walk for Earth Day and help us give back to the world that’s given so much to us! On April 22nd, get outdoors and walk with us or with your own community. We will send you our Earth Day Passport, which includes our Walking Guide to help you plan the day and our Nature Scavenger Hunt Contest!
Locations
This is a Hybrid Event. If you’re in the Vista, CA area, you can join the Henrys from Beleaf in the Fatherhood at Alta Vista Gardens in Brengle Terrace Park. If you’re outside the area, create or join a team right where you are.
If you are participating at the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens, you will also be invited to the Local Earth Day Festival.
Activities & Contest
Walk, Run, Bike, Swim, Work-Out, Play, Clean Up. It doesn’t matter how it looks, Join us at your local outdoor area & Walk For Earth Day.
Since this is a Hybrid Event, we will send you our Earth Day Passport, which includes our Walking Guide to help you plan for that day, tips to recruit your team, ways to take care of the earth, and our Nature Scavenger Hunt Contest guidelines.

Who founded This initiative?
Earth Day is a national initiative to take better care of the earth. San Diego County Residents, Glen Henry (Beleaf in Fatherhood | Beleafinfatherhood.com ), Terrell Rackley (Diamond Minds | SDhiphop5k.com ), and Brandon Bornes (My Black City | MyBlackCity.org ) brainstormed how they could support Earth Day’s “why,” and the idea for Walk For Earth Day was born. In support of this local vision, Nancy B Jones of Alta Vista Botanical Gardens ( avbg.org ) decided to collaborate with Walk For Earth Day to help bring more diverse communities to her Earth Day Festival.Â
